Does anybody know his maths?

The calculation of speed under zeta Maul lead is a bit weird, isn't it?

If I'm running a Palpy with 186 speed with Maul, will he go before or after a 232 speed toon? Or is it actually random?
Same for 173 (+Maul) vs. 216 or 171 (+Maul) vs. 213.

I heard it's speed*1.25 because the 20% is flat turn meter, thus 80% to scale. That will give you .25 numbers etc. though. Do they reliably go first then or does that create some of these moments where two toons are at full TM and it's just random?

A character will act when he reaches an internal value of 1000. Zaul s special let's you start already at 200. This means for you to go first 800/(your speed) must be smaller than 1000/(enemy speed) or put different your speed must be bigger than 0.8 of enemies speed. If the results are exactly the same it is random. Coin flips are more common with abilities like STH taunt with act later.

They will reliably go first as long as there's no further TM manipulation. Speed hasn't worked in terms of ticks to 1000 for a while now; a 232.5 speed toon will always move before a 232 speed one everything else being equal.
