Gear breakdown idea, salvaging from a completed piece

Since you can craft up, why not be able to craft down as well? I'm sitting on quite a few pieces I'd like to break down into individual stun cuffs or mctaggle pieces. When you snag a full gear piece from a raid it would be nice to be given the option to break it down and recombine the pieces as you may need.

Do you mean separate something like mk4 halo projector so you could use the cuffs elsewhere?

Yep so separate MkIV carbs into mkIII. And the rate should be the same as if we craft up. So an individual MkIV carb should give 2 full mkIII carbs.:)

Correct. I have a ton of raid gear from both raids that could be far more useful if broken down.
