A free play no reward mode/arena

This game really needs somewhere you can test new set ups against evenly matched teams.
I test in GW but it's often a miss match either for or against.
Would be nice to have an arena which matches you against a squad of similar overall rating to test teams and synergies in.
So basically a second arena without rewards (maybe ally points or small amount of credits) and no ranking system needed.
Not sure if this has been covered before. A bit like how the last event worked out but with your own squads.
Thoughts on this?
