If you have a Mac, you can plug in your iOS device, and open up QuickTime. In the toolbar menu, there should be an option to record the gameplay from your iOS device.

It is said that Shou.tv can record iDevice directly, but you have to install it from another app store called Emu4iOS, because Apple banned all screen recorders in Apple Store. But for me, I feel less secure to use another app store. So, I'd rather use those dekstop programs that mirror iPhone/iPad to the computer via AirPlay and offer screen recording option. Currently, I'm using Apowersoft iPhone/iPad Recorder, and so far, it works well.
