WHat should I Do to require my account change from IOS to Android? It is really possible? Just received this answer today from EA Support:

''Thanks for using EA Help. 31344792

Thank you for contacting. I completely understand your concern but I would like to inform you that it is not possible to transfer the progress from one platform to other because the progress are not platform independent. If you switch the account from iOS to android, you need to start the game again from beginning.

Please let me know if you have any question.

    Thank you.

    Looking forward for your reply.''

The people that are helping you most likely have no idea how SWGOH is played. They just work at EA Support. You cannot just say you want your game transferred. You need to specify, for example, you switched from an ios phone to an android phone and don't want to lose all of your progress. You can say that you have spent money on your account and just want to be able to access it on your android devise. It is 100% possible, you just need to get it escalated to the next person or try again. Dont reply to the same email. Try it again through the in game help again, to get a different ticket number (Note: You have to send a ticket through in game help or it wont work). Just make sure to explain you had no choice but to switch phones. In the same email make sure you put this too:

    Current IOS account: (Player ID)
    Current IOS account: (Ally Code)

    New Android account: (Player ID)
    New Android account: (Ally Code)
  • I did specifyied all that. What left is to try another person
  • Another negative answer :(

Hello there! This is Gio, I am part of the EA Customer Experience Support Team. Actually, we can't transfer your progress because for iOS device, it should be linked to your Game Center and for Android, it should be linked to Google Play.

Basically, we don't have a tool especially if you're using a mobile device because you can only continue the progress if you're going to use iOS to iOS and Android to Android only.

We appreciate your patience and understanding. If you need further assistance with this or any other issue with your EA games, please don't hesitate to contact us back

Do it REALLY can be done?

    Thanks again! Yours

That is not true. Technically its not a transfer though. It is a "Linking" of the Android to the IOS account. Both devices will still be able to use the same account, and it is 100% possible. If I were you, I'd try to talk to them over the phone, or just keep trying until you get somebody that can help you. Don't know what else to tell you.

I would respond and ask for the ticket to be escalated, because it 100% can be done, as confirmed on here by @CG_Kozispoon and several other players that have had it done.
  • I am in the process of having a transfer done. My first request was denied - they said it wasn't possible after speaking with a specialist. The second person I spoke to after resubmitting a call request was more informed. He said it was possible, I would only get to do it once and it should take up to 72 hours. It's been 48 hours. Fingers are crossed.
  • I have already done it. :) it is really possible and i've got it after like 5 trials !
  • How long did it take? Once they agreed to do it, did you have to follow up?
  • Once they did they Will do it, it took no time. Send to Marion at customerexperience@ea.com
  • Update for the next person who searches for this. My account was successfully transferred. They said up to 72 hours and did it in about 65.
  • Hello there, im having the same problem, i tried 3 times already, 2 times in game, and once on EA Support page, first 2 times i got an answer its not possible, and i didn't even get an answer on the EA support page after 1 week. So how did you guys do it?

First and foremost THANK YOU so much for this feature! I finally got to retire my old, laggy iPad 2 (where app would crash after 1 minute in a ships fight, I'm 82 and I had won like 3 fights cause of crashes... Now, in one day I've won two times the battles I've won in 6 months!!)

Having said that, apparently you need to iron out some details with the support team. While my transfer was really fast (opened ticket on Sunday, transfer happened on Tuesday), the initial response I got was that my achievements, light/dark/cantina battles progress, characters' level and gear will be lost upon transfer. Pretty much only my currency, player level and characters' stars would remain. I kindly pointed the representative to this thread and he informed me it was not a certainty, but a risk. Long story short, after a couple of e-mails back and forth, yesterday I got my iOS account linked to the Android one and everything's there. In addition, I observed that the accounts actually sync (changes I did on Android would happen in iOS and vice versa).

My advice to people wanting this is: (1) Like others suggested, have the Player ID and Ally Codes of the old and new accounts, (2) Ask at the initial ticket for your request to be escalated, (3) Point them to this thread, (4) BE POLITE, even if the representative that responds to you is not well informed, that's no reason to be rude, just point them here.

Also, I have to say the people I had contact with were extremely polite and helpful. Thanks a lot guys!

ETA: Transfer was iOS -> Android.
  • Mine has been going on two weeks now... ****.
  • Send to Marion at customerexperience@ea.com
  • Hello, trying a transfer too but nothing yet for my ticket since Thursday.
customerexperience@ea.com isn't a valid mail address anymore. Any other ideas?
  • Yes, send to the customer request on the EA Site.. you must keep trying till find someone who could. It may get a while, but THERE IS A WAY! I´m already playing on my Android Account some months.

Hi All. The thread says that you need an ally code for each account. As far as I can tell, the ally code doesn't pop up until you hit level 18. Am I correct in understanding that, in order to make this transfer, you have to create an new account on your new device and play up to level 18 before you get an ally code to use for the ticket?

Yea just level it until you can see your ally code.

This is a brilliant move as people are switching phones more frequently

  • Just wanted to say a quick thanks to everyone. Followed the instructions and EA support completed the transfer in just a few hours. I had to provide screen shots of my iOS purchase and the confirmation email. Now my player syncs across both (although they said it wouldn't).
  • Hey, just want to update that i have also transferred from ios to android. Took me less than a week for everything to proceed. I can now play on both ios and android. not sure if my ios data will be erased in a few weeks time. So far, so good :)
  • So EA Help is telling me I can only transfer progress. If I say sure and go ahead, I'll still be able to play on both iOS and Android right? From what I've read here, it seems you can play on both, but EA Help doesn't know that.
#CloneHelmets4Life...VICTORY!!!! "I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere." The more you tighten your grip, CG/EA, the more whales will slip through your fingers (and go F2P or quit).

I’m in a position to ‘transfer’ iOS to Android now as well and am wondering regards any updates from successful links if they’re still able to play across both platforms long after successful link.

  • I'm still playing between the two platforms. No issues at all.
  • I'll submit my request today and update here when completed and functional
  • This is the last in a handful of emails back and forth... they still insist it’s not an option.
I’ve been polite and will remain so, but this seems like something that the customer support people should be aware of. Do I basically just tell them to do the transfer, whether they think it’ll work, or not?

“Mate, I would like to let you know that I already discussed this issue with our specialist team and they educated me the same what I informed you in my previous mail. Mate we can't play same game with same account on different platforms because the game progress will not be update in the servers and thus you can't play further.”
  • Have you tried adding this link in with the email along with all the information they need?
