Palpatine bug with Darth Nihilus lead
Darth Nihilus' leader ability specifically states that Sith cannot critically hit. However, Emperor Palpatine's Crackling Doom ability (while using his basic Lightning Strike) will critically hit non-targeted Jedi and Rebels.
I specifically use a Nihilus lead to avoid the GK auto-taunt and Zeta Barriss's zeta unique. That all is lost when using Palpatine with the Nihilus crew. I'd love to use EP with a Nihilus lead, but can't because of this issue.
I'm assuming it's a bug, unless someone can explain to me why it's not.
