Nihilus not applying a DoT

Each turn he should apply a DoT to someone who doesn't have a negative on them already. If they all do, then the DoT applies to a random toon. But, I've had it happen several times now where Nihilus isn't applying a DoT to anyone. I don't see any of the toons show the word "resisted" by them either. It's just not happening all the time. Idk if this is only tied to him being in the leader spot or not though.

That resisted pops up very fast.Seems Faster than normal resisted especially at 4x speed. Also it happens before his ability becomes available.
