Hey guys,
I'm curious if anyone's heard anything about EA's intention to start allowing guild members under 18 to see guild chat and hold guild leadership positions. It's a long story in my current guild and I don't feel like typing it out, just curious if anyone knows about ea changing that policy.
Thanks

Work a round use Line or Discord. There is also no censoring, which is very anoying.
It does not make sense to have kids in a guild, not able to ask for help at all.
Good luck!
My cousin who is under 18 joined a guild and could not use or even see the guild chat.

Also he could not change his name, he is stuck with 'Ceth Senpai' as his name.

That seems to be a problem with trying to coordinate raids and stuff.
I'm sixteen, and I can see the chat just fine.
I input my age as such and everything, I can even change my name.
I have zero issues
@LG500 if your guild isn't using Discord for chat, you should. And my ultimate suggestion to you is to find a guild who competes in Heroic raids so that you may progress faster.
Not sure if it's 13,16, or what, but my cousin is 12. And can't use the chat.

I think the guild description is the only way to get around this.
There's laws they have to follow.
What a cute thought, sadly it's totally ridiculous when you step back and look at the big scale of the interweb, parents just needs to get their thumbs out, stop blaming every thing but themselves, and teach their children how to handle social media.
Absolutely. I'm kind of okay with image filters -- my kids 8 and you can look up the most innocuous thing and get some pretty horrid stuff, and I'm not even talking about porn!.
But the rest really needs to fall back on the parents... who need to actually parent. Because, at some point, they do turn 18 and then what, you just throw them to the dogs? The whole point of childhood is they get this space to screw up a lot and, thus, learn a lot.
Anyways... yeah, we've kicked a lot of minors out since guilds started, but you can't blame the devs, I'm pretty sure their hands are tied on that one.
Y'all need to do some searching.
Its COPPA (probably)
