Darth Maul, Lifesteal, and the new Meta

With the sudden resurgence of Jedi teams soon to be upon us, and with Lifesteal being a thing now, Darth Maul is suddenly a thought.
Pros:
-20% Lifesteal at max gear
-100% increased Jedi damage means 1shotting little green dudes
-one AOE and you look really cool
-turn meter on kill means either GS or Qui Gon calling him is probably gg

Cons
-requires an assist to be speed viable
-doesn't benefit from speed leaders
-low hp and speed on his own
-most of us probably stopped loving him faster than his step dad did

So keep an open mind. Mauls need loving too

  • Rey has 10% LS and 10% of her damage is nice, especially with her speed. :D
  • Yeah, Rey is going to be even beasties on offense now. Not sure anyone ever lets her live on defense. I wonder how badly this will mess with the AOE Poe counter teams.

Also, consider, there is a 44ish% chance to call Maul with two assist callers in your team. Not exactly groundbreakingly good odds, but fun nonetheless.
  • Darth Maul and new life steal:
Pros: Can fully heal on his AOE, even from nearly zero health.
Cons: Can still get one-shotted, so the above isn't suuuper game-changing.

This is actually really awesome for GW though, since now he can self-sustain probably through the entire campaign.
