I'm working on a resistance squad for the tank raid, and have been doing video and thread research. The one thing I can't find, is a consistency on what people are saying is ideal. Obviously Finn. Poe, and trooper, but I keep seeing variants of Rey, pilot, and r2 for the final spot. Is there a general consensus on to which combination of the three is ideal for max damage?
You guys had a riot? On account o' me? My very own riot?

Hope this helps.

Follow up, since I just realized I totally asked the question wrong (this is why I shouldn't start threads first thing in the morning.
Which total 5?
Sounds like Finn Poe trooper Rey and rotate pilot and r2?
Sounds good, what's the full five? (See my note about having to edit original post)
in p2 i use Finn, Poe, RT, RP and rey. R2 simply brings to little to replace any of those 5.

Second, Poe, Finn, R2 and Pilot don't do much dmg. Trooper does medium dmg, so in order to score big you need a DPS toon. Rey is just that.
I try to find the right mix of using her specials, cause it's difficult for me to determine which special attack does the most dmg consistently.
R2 does not give resistance any advantage in p2 and is in dmg far less than Rey.
So for me it's zFinn, Poe, RT, RP and Rey in p2
I think I saw some videos of them doing pretty solid damage in p3. You definitely need R2 there to stop the counter attacks and I've seen both Rey and RP do well as the 5th. RP might be better if you find you need more exposes, but if you can get by with just RT, Finn and Poe exposing, Rey will probably hit harder.
2.5mil in p3 is my best so far with zFinn, RT, RP, R2 and Poe. Not fully geared yet, and not using my best mods. There's potential with a little bit of rng.
McMole2 just put up a great video showing resistance in p3.

This is in HAAT? If so, I didn't know Resistance was hitting for 7 mill. Good news for me as I just finished gear my Resistance team.
Same experience with me. Best p3 is 2.6 with Rey on the bench. R2's stealth ability keeps the boss from countering and gives Poe foresight. My oh can't afford to have two toons that don't expose.
Personal best p3 with Rey is 1.9
What about substituting in Jyn
Like others have said, never sub out Rey, she does around half of the group damage so subbing her out might net you more exposes but it's unlikely you will do more damage. It will just take twice as long to do the same damage. It comes down to RP or R2. For p2 R2 is not required and RP is a much better fit. For p4 R2 is crucial and cannot be done without him. Biggest advantage in running them in p4 is you have 6 targets instead of 4 for poe to get exposes from.
If you play it right the main cannon should never attack and the side cannons may get a shot or two the whole run in P4. Where as in P2 the main cannon gets a turn every time it comes out of topple so if you dont have the best mods they may not make it to enrage.
What I did is I switched my clones to p2 and run resistance in p4. Clones regain protection so to me it was a no brainer to make the switch. Now both teams have no problem making it to enrage and can at minimum post 5M each.
R2's smoke screen (stealth) you just have to stop exposing once you put it on or else you risk it wearing off. Firestorm doesn't hit that hard (when buffed) and both Rey and RT have lifesteal so they should be back to full health (or close) by the time the next one comes along. R2's is the one I have to worry about, fortunately he has a large health/prot pool so its only towards the end of the run where he is close to dying.
I don't see Jyn doing well in p3 with resistance. Now that I'm getting the hang of it, I'm able to tm lock just like when running chirpantine. She might get a turn or two, but for the most part she'll be sitting there waiting.
This last run I took it from about 16% through to p4 with the main cannon only ever getting 1 shot off.
