Drop results when siming vs not siming

I tend to have a lot better drop rate success with shards and Purple mats when siming matches compared to when I just do the stage normally. Anyone else experienced this or is it only me?

Yea I agree, I always prefer to sim. I've been farming mace for the Jedi event and nearly all my shards have come from sims

While it may not be real, it feels like drop rate is better simming.

I have had the opposite experience. I think it may be truly random with no benefit to either method of play.

I ran out of sims yesterday, so I spent about 200 (21 attempts) energy on farming Geo the slow way. Got 1 shard.
Normally when I sim, I get 30-40% drop rate. Its possible this was just a bad day.

Same thing happened to me when farming pruple hairdryers. 9 attempts, zero drops. Always get 1 or 2 when simming with that many attempts
