Yes, it's another, How Do I Beat This GK Chaze Team question

A persistent GW12 opponent for me recently:

GK lead, Chaze, R2, DN all maxed out and zeta'ed

I have a decent roster left including Boba, rebels, Sith/Empire and Jedi with zetas on QGJ and Phasma. Key toons I don't have: B2, JKA, GK, Chaze
Weak toons I do have but may not be very useful: TFP, DN, R2, Resistance team

I have lots of AOE (Empire/sith mainly), buffed (jedi) and damage dealers (FOTFP, rebels, Boba) and healers but am light on effective tanks.

Any thoughts on a strategy to beat this team? They cleanse regularly, taunt regularly, go invisible just when I get close to killing one and heal as fast as I can inflict damage it seems.

  • If you have some decent Sith, use Nihilus lead, so Kenobi never tanks.

Death Trooper beats Chaze really easy.

Kylo/Zylo has a good kit to control Chaze.

    I annihilate Chirrut first.
  • Galactic War Strat:
    1. Send in 5 low level characters to waste their specials
    2. Send in a rebel or droid squad to at least kill Kenobi, AOEs to burn some protection off
    3. Send in another low level squad if necessary
    4. Throw ur A-team sith or whoever in to finish

A Team I faced in GW last week. Impossible to beat. Also a good zQGJ can beat them.
  • Thanks for all the tips. I did manage to beat it but it took 6 teams including some big hitters. I used a variation on CuzzoCuhnobi's approach of using pawns to waste their specials in between specialist teams to take out each of the main toons (GK, Baze, Chirrut, Nihilus, R2 in that order). With GK and Baze out of the way it is pretty straightforward.
  • The downside of throwing in a suicide squad and the reason I don't recommend doing that is you boost the opposing teams TM which puts you at a disadvantage...resistance and nihilus lead tear apart the baze chirrut problem....work on putting a zeta on Finn

I have that team, all maxed out. Yesterday I dropped to #28. They're definitely beatable.

Also Zader lead with a fast SA and DN works

+1 definitely beatable. With teams much easier to get than they are.

Same team I use in Arena. Sometimes it holds but today I dropped into the 30s. It's a fun and decent team but definitely beatable. Can struggle against some teams still on offense to.

How many of those 27 teams in front of you were the same. Just saying, being beaten by a mirror team doesn't make you beatable.

In GW if the oppenent lead isn't Rex I use zVader lead if my TFP and/or EP have TM advantage : they'll never be able to act
