Don't get me started on "achievements" that are basically one day's worth of daily activity completion...
In game name: Lucas Gregory FORMER PLAYER - - - -"Whale blah grump poooop." - Ouchie
In game guild: TNR Uprising I beat the REAL T7 Yoda (not the nerfed one) and did so before mods were there to help

50 crystals and 500k are nice but 5 Vader shards??
To note, it's also 50 crystals per event tier (7 possible tiers). As for Vader shards, that sounds fair.
C'mon Snakes. 5 Vader shards, which are easily obtained from a single fleet shipment? Or a few shard shop transactions? Lol. Okay.
A year ago, when Vader wasn't easily farmed and present on most rosters and there was no credit heist, these achievements at least made some sense. Now even calling them "achievements" is a gross exaggeration.
Achievements need to be updated, plain and simple.

Good thing no one new will ever pick the game up ever again!
Achievements aren't all for new players. And Vader didn't use to be farmable. But other than those 2 glaring errors in your thought, good point.

Surely there are better achievements rewards that can benefit all players rather than just the new ones... Vader shards as a prize is largely irrelevant now for a large portion of the players (especially the whales).

You've been playing for a year. Of course these rewards are peanuts for you.
Remember what your roster looked like when you were trying to get Yoda?
This reward isn't for you. This reward is for the folks who are still new enough that trying to work toward Yoda is still a chore.

Wait really? Where does it say that? Awesome
The extra crystals are rewards given upon completion of the tier. They come with the Thrawn shards.

A brand new gamer won't be able to finish the thrawn event though. Not if they are serious.
