Zeta Kylo Ren Outrage & Nihilus Leader

I was playing against team of Nihilus(Leader), Kylo, Dooku, Vader, and Kylo, at 25% health left, did Outrage and gained all his protection.
I am not quite sure if his zeta ability is suppose to override Darth Nihilus' leader ability. Does anyone know? Maybe I'm reading and interpreting the descriptions incorrectly.
