So what do we need ewoks for?

I'm assuming that ewoks are not just needed for the flash events and that they are needed for unlocking the Luke event(s) coming up?

They are needed for flash events, but I don't think we will need them to get luke (Episode 5 Luke, but Episode 6 ewoks)
