Lack of notice for events

It saddens me when there is an event and I don't have enough time to farm the shards for that said event, for instance i don't have R2D2 for the Jedi Luke event (or old ben for that matter) so I will have to wait a considerable amount of time to get Luke now. Spent the last few weeks farming Jedis so I could do Yoda event since it has been the only in game confirmed event that was showing for a few weeks now. EA baits you into farming for Yoda when they knew that Jedi Luke was coming (and what characters they had in mind that were needed) that is poor communication to your customer in my opinion.

Is there any way in which we can get better more direct communication on what EA is doing with this game? I've spent a few hundred dollars on this game but I feel it is not worth it at this point since the lack of notice is so bad, I would need to spend hundreds of dollars just to unlock 1 characters due to the lack of notice from EA on these events.
