RNG Is Supposed To Be Random

This is my biggest gripe with this game, RNG is supposed to be random yet it truly isn't with this game. I've faced the same guy 7 times today in arena, why 7 you may ask? Because he's 1st and I'm 2nd so it's pointless a tracking anybody else. We have roughly the same team: droids and Poe except where he uses HK I use GS. All 7 times my Geo goes 1st and calls an assist from Poggle which is pretty much useless since my Poggle isn't maxed out/7* so it doesn't kill the enemy Poe then it's his turn and all 7 times his Poe goes before mine. This is not random, out of 7 occasions I expect a truly random selection to select my Poe to go 1st at least once yet since the update my Poe hasn't been 1st in either arena or GW. I can live with the Poe nerf, what is ruining this game for me is how un-random this games RNG system really is.

    I cant comment on your gripes but will say the statement CG made about streamlining drops to make them "feel" less random was worrying. I'd rather have real randomness instead of a jerryrigged system. At that point might as well just eliminate all semblences of RNG and go to a strictly transparent step based based item system, and a calculation based arena system with no variance. Hope they leave things as they are

    There is tons of rage in this forum and I suspect it's that there is actually too much RNG involved in too many aspects of the game.

    Some RNG is exciting and fun but I think they overkilled it. Leaving a Casino with losses is frustration although exhilarating if leaving with wins. They need to change some aspects to be far more consistent.
  • I wonder if the "random" isn't just % based. Open a pack, you have an 80% chance to get Leia and then a 1% to get Ben etc. Or like the OP said when things are identical yet one side has the same outcome each attempt in the exact same sequence etc....that doesn't seem random at all.
  • It's really frustrating. I beat him on the 8th attempt but his Poe still went first. The randomness has changed for both this and gear drops and IMO, it's a change for the worse.
