Why can't we request Fleet Shard allies?

I have NO idea which sub forum this is supposed to go under since the forums got reworked. In regular arena, we can send ally requests after we play them. Why can't we do the same for fleet?

It is odd we can't do that, one would think it's the same as arena in the background.

Because we don't have ship allies(as in the ships we can use in the ally position for challenges ect.)

So? It’s another way to gain and maybe get to know allies. If you’re a top end player in both arena and ship arena then it’s a way to get more top end allies outside of refular arena and your guild.

Because if we can't use them then they would be useless and there are PLENTY of other things that I would like fixed or added before they do this.

What are you talking about? Of course you can use your fleet arena shard mates toons as allies. Just because you can't use their ships doesn't mean you can't use their toons. Seriously why are you so narrow minded?
