Gear up GK or CLS 1st?

I have been hoarding gear for a few weeks now, as I will be unlocking GK in about two more weeks. But now I will also have CLS unlocked tomorrow. So the question is, do I continue to save my gear for GK and gear up CLS next? Or do I gear up CLS 1st and then work up gear for GK?

My current arena squad varies but is generally Thrawn, DN, DT, Shore, and RG/TFP. I easily get top 5 but have to fight my way back up each day. GK is an obvious plug into that squad, not sure where I'd put CLS yet. R2 isn't yet geared for me. He's third in line next to the other two. I can solo Rancor already but it takes a while, so CLS being able to help do it on auto would be a nice boost.

I would go GK first if your focus is arena. However, CLS seems quite necessary for territory battles and can be hopeful in arena if put in the right team. Tough call!

I am doing CMD Luke, personally. The only reason is at the time I started playing, it was all about Rebels and R1 so I have a ton geared up. Also, the TMR on CMD Luke is a great asset for Rancor and HAAT. It is kinda a bummer because I hoarded for a month, then when they announced CMD Luke, used a lot of that gear to bring up the team to get Luke, and the rest of it to get Luke to Gear IX.

Do what you want, because the current meta clearly contain General Kenobe, while Luke's place in Arena is still a little fuzzy.

I'm really torn. I'm leaning CLS because he is so useful across everything. And maybe I can fit him into my arena squad. I wish I knew how he would do if plugged into my arena squad, but no way to know until you do it.
