    I can agree with this. Farmable is actually the best case scenario we can ask for. Requiring players to gamble 100's of dollars on packs hoping to get a fraction of the shards they need for the non-farmable characters, that is the real problem.

    Try 10s of thousands for the millennium falcon.

    I also agree. Be thankful you don't need 6 Paploo's or Falcons.
    However, I am highly suspicious. Supposedly it's random which toons are required for Platoons, but certain factions (like Jedi) rarely show up.

    Dice are Random. However, two d6's are pretty weighted to throw 7's. Still Random, but there's not an even distribution between 1 - 12.

    Saying something is simply 'random' doesn't paint the full picture.

    By the same token - say - if farming a character and 50 sims are at 15% and the next 10 sims are like 80% and the end results is 33% - (example, I have 0 evidence) then you are still dealing with random results, you still get 33% over the long run. However, the fact that getting good and bad runs have been shown to increase addition - well, that's just gold. I can't get to the article I want here at work (gambling sites banned... even if they're gambling help sites???) and also the book 'Made to Stick' by Chip and Dan Heath get into how we are wired to look at big rewards over the short term but then forget minimal rewards over a longer term. It's been mentioned, but Casino's use this to both make the profit they want but also to reward the gambler with the high's they seek with short term gains.

    TL:DR - What we're seeing that despite some hardcore, ingrained gambling on this game - the Millenium Falcon 'aint in the cards at all. Remove it from Platoons.

    RE: Still think it's a little disgusting the dev response was to tell us to drop players from our guild and find people with the Falcon. As unrealistic as it is to find these legendary players, it shows they're quite interested in keeping any kind of team building/co-op play away from the Guilds.

    And completely ironic as well - the new Guild Search that they added was designed to help players find guilds, but does nothing to help guilds find players. Even if the Falcon wasn't an insane farm, how would you go about finding a player with it within the game? (or any rare unit, for that matter) Basically, you can't - you'd have to go outside the game to recruit on various forums, which makes the time spent on building that Guild Search a complete waste IMO.

    I also agree! Their response to this during a CG forum was try to focus on Phases 1-3. LOL They release a new toon then add it right away to platoons. Thus when they finally make that toon available there are 2 new toons that have been added since. Thus making it never possible to fill platoons at Phase 4 and on.
