Max G12 or spread the love

What do you guys think is the best way to begin gearing toons to G12? I'm putting my first piece on CLS. Is it best to max him, then go to R2, then GK, etc, or do the multi-tool for CLS, then R2 multi-tool, etc?

I would focus, but that's coming from a f2p player. If you pay, and have access to more resources, I guess you could spread the wealth.
