Will Level 80 G8 be enough for Thrawn

Hi there guys. I'm preparing my team for the next Thrawn event and have Hera, Ezra, Sabine, Kanan and Zeb all level 80 gear 8, except Ezra who is gear 9. I'm currently focussing on farming some decent mods for them. I nearly have all their uniques and Hera's leadership maxed. Just wondering if this will be enough to get 7* Thrawn. I could potentially get them all up to Level 85 if it's worth it, but do also need the credits to uprgrade some mods when I get them. Any advice would be much appreciated

People did it with g8 and good mods, but from what I heard it generally required multiple tries and good RNG. 80 vs. 85 is unlikely to make a big difference.

Include Chopper, leave out Sabine, and you definitely can do it if they're fast enough. I remember at the time people saying they needed higher gear levels to be able to do it with Sabine. Unfortunately, Chopper provides so much survivability, besides his dispel and taunt, which are also important.

Cheers for the tips guys. Might start gearing up chopper as well then so I have more options. I might be able to get 1 more to gear 9, maybe 2. Who would you guys gear up next? Or should I try to get Ezra to gear 10?

I ran my Phoenix at level 80, Sabine over chopper, uniques omega except kanaan , all gear eight, had Sabine around 210 spd, and Ezra at 196, second try no issues . First Sabine was at 199~
