Possible to get thrawn without Sabine?

What he said. Though, with low gear levels you'll want Ezra at g10. I did it first go-round with Hera Zeb Kanan at g8, Chopper g9, Ezra g10. I tried for about 6 hours with Ezra at g9 but couldn't do it. Once he was g10 it only took 2 or 3 more tries.

You can do Thrawn without her and many people do just because she's the hardest farm.

That's a mistake. Unless you can't farm her in time for Thrawn or you're at low gear levels with Phoenix, then there's no good reason to leave out Sabine. At a solid gear level, the squad is much better with Sabine in and Chopper out. Again, you can do Thrawn without her....but you're not running the best Phoenix squad if you're leaving her out.

If you're not at low gear levels you aren't worrying about whether you can get Thrawn. Low gear levels is where the issue comes into play at all.
