Do the devs have upcoming ep8 details?

When designing new characters/ships, do you think the developers get "tipped off" so to speak for the design and alignment of new characters? It would seem beneficial to have advanced knowledge of TLJ plot points (spoilers) to get everything done on time.

They have an idea of what’s going on but I’m sure they are clueless of the plot and what ep8 will exactly be like.
Shore and chirrut came out before rogue one last year by 2/3 months so this tells you they have an idea of what’s going on. If they knew fully, they probably wouldn’t of added bistan to the game

I would imagine Disney sends liaisons who are trained and informed with a packet of materials showing how a character looks, what their character traits are, and other details that can help develop a character without giving away major plot points.
