I can confirm that on the 2nd December they definitely did not work. So I'm thinking it's not going to happen for us, since NZ isn't on the list at the top of the first post.

My case eventually got resolved after almost 3 weeks, it was really hard work getting support to understand, but eventually got an advisor who actually understood the problem. My advice persevere and don't give up!
So I've been farming characters for the last month now only to find that I'm being penalized AGAIN because I have an iPhone. How did you guys not learn from the last time you pulled this stunt? Way to alienate half of your player base. I am so pi$$ed off right now.
If you redeem the promo in the googleplay and you don't get it in your account is it best to chase Google support or ea support or both?

Googgle Support has closed the application claiming that the promotion is from EA and that the forum is indicating that "if there is any problem it was to open a request for support for EA" and not to Google.
Is any player in Brazil having problems with a Google Gift Card Rey's Promotion award? In the Guild of which I am a part we bought cards and nobody got the promotion prizes. The cards were bought online at a large book store.

I brought one of 100 reais and another of 50 reais, you must accept the gift after the code, asked password again. 100 reais give 5 stars Rey with 3000 crystals, become 145 shards if you already have, 50 reais give same 5 stars Rey, but 1500 crystals, limited to 3 of each card per Google account

A CG representative made a post afterwards saying it was though; I've bought a $50 card and it didn't work, so now I've sent a message into EA Games. I'd say due to their representative saying the promotion would work from that date, they will have to honor it.
The official post for google play promotion for Australia it has EB Games listed, but last time I checked EB Games does not sell google play cards. They are not listed on google's official website either.

I was very specific in detailing everything, I referred to the CG post in this thread mentioning Countdown, included my receipt and gift card details and the support agent got back to me reasonably soon and said to Restore Purchases, wait 24 hours and the Rey shards should arrive.
Can you please confirm that this promotion is available in NZ through Countdown? Where do I find confirmation of this from? I can't find it anywhere in Countdown and both EA and google play help won't help

I bought a gift card, how do I claim the reward?
Most importantly, make sure you’re logged into the same account on your Android device AND inside Star Wars™: Galaxy of Heroes.
Go to the Google Play Store on your Android device.
Open the Menu and tap Redeem.
Enter your gift card code.
Tap Add Item on the Star Wars™: Galaxy of Heroes pop-up.
Tap on Open when instructed by your device.
When the game opens, you’ll see a text pop-up confirming that you redeemed your code.
You’ll also receive a message in your game inbox that confirms you’ve received the reward and Rey will be in your Characters area, ready for you to activate.
What can I do if I’ve already purchased a Gift Card from Target or Kroger?
We’ve discovered an issue with cards purchased at Target and Kroger, and unfortunately it’s not allowing us to validate the code redemptions. What does this mean? It means the cards won’t work as designed. Which is not cool, and we apologize. We’re working with Google on this, and if you have one of these cards, you should pursue a refund with the original retailer. If you encounter any problems receiving a refund from the retailer, then please contact us.
I was supposed to receive a 7* Rey, but I only got a 4*. What should I do?
Rey unlocks at 4*. If your reward was for a higher star version of Rey, we’ve also given you the additional character shards and credits needed to promote her up to that star level.
Go to your Character Selection screen, find Rey and tap the PROMOTE button in the bottom right to increase her star level.
I already had Rey at 7*. What am I supposed to do with these extra shards?
Excess character shards can be converted to Shard Shop currency which can be used to purchase character shards or gear.

Restart the game - fully close the app and relaunch

I bought a $50 card, redeemed it, got the rewards, but was charged $75 for the transaction. So no google credit for me. I opened a ea help case and they just keep pushing me about. Most recently they told me to post on this forum and @EA_Jesse and @CG_LucifersDaddy as apparently they are the only ones who can help.
