So with the Road Ahead telling us this is in the making and on its way, what does everyone think its going to based on?

Few of my Ideas...
Empire vs Rebels: Hoth, just the inverted version of what we have currently. Rewards Im unsure on, maybe a new Commander Trooper?
200?cb=20170312004857

Seperatist vs Republic: Geonosis, not sure what the battle should be as I don't know many of the battles from this map only the first. But would introduce a Seperatist rework, Jango Fett being in store reward and Droideka as the battle ground reward.
Introducing B1 Droid, B1 Bomber (Ship), BX Droid, Grievous ship (Soulless One) and Nute Gunray Commander ship.
180?cb=20110723163508

First Order vs Resistance: Starkiller Base, Fighting off the Resistance invasion (or possibly a new battle from the film would be cool). Would introduce Snoke as the in store reward, Unmasked Kylo for the battle ground reward.

Introducing Flametrooper, General Hux and his Commanding Ship, Kylo's new TIE fighter, Praetorian Guard, and BB-9. (Obviously some of these would be TLJ events instead.

Personally I hope its the Seperatist one, I expect it would be FO one because the timing would be perfect, but maybe the Empire only if they literally just reverse everything that is currently seen in the TB as it is.

Can see it now, facing wave after wave after wave of Hoth Rebel Scout, Hoth Rebel Soldier, and the all new Hoth Rebel Commander!

The excitement is strong in this one!

Have stopped gearing Resistance so that I can gear up Veers, Snowtrooper AND the Tuskens and Nightsisters so I will have enough viable teams to succeed in another Territory Battle, where I can earn Mk IV Carbanti like I did after my guild hit 42* in the last TB.

    Bring on the Hoth Bros!

Sand and snow don't mix. I see bounty hunters, empire, imperial troopers. As the 3 main factions for extra missions.

Not really (yet). Still haven't fnished my phoenix and r1 squads in order to get 6/6 and 4or5/6 waves respectively.
    Save water, drink champagne!
  • uhm...you don't think with the LS heaviness in the game you would face an army of 6 CLS's or combos of CLS R2 ROLO CHOLO and Wiggs? :)
  • Did they say it would be Hoth? From the Road Ahead post I got the feeling it would be a different map.

  • Pretty sure it won't be hoth

Considering they say planet Jakku you me be onto something here.
  • LOL thought the mk iV comment would give away my true feelings on the matter, but seeing as how it hasn't I will just say this, I have seen references made by them, that say Territory Battles Hoth: rebel.

That should be seen as a clue as to what the next TB will be. Territory Battles Hoth: Empire.

Why come up with something new when they can reuses what they have already done.

    4 Hans prove that point.

We are very excited to announce that after Territory Battles, we are working on the next step in Guild Battles… something we are calling Territory Wars. The initial Territory War map will take place on the Planet Jakku.

Territory Wars will be set on Jakku, no mention of where the next TB will be set in that announcement and they have said TB Hoth Rebels.

We will be facing those Hoth guys over and over and over again, don't you worry.
  • Main DS factions are :
    Empire 15 (with Trooper sub-faction)
    Separatists 10
    Sith 9

also, those 2 are going to get bigger, obviously :
    Nightsister 5
    First Order 5

Now you know what to farm.
    I choose the Red Pill.

    My money goes to Endor.
The only other significant non-space battle in the original trilogy. And in the movies it is very much the imperial equivalent of the Hoth rebel spanking.
Plus, there are Endor rebels in the game (though not playable).
Imperial troopers required, start thinking about farming stormtrooper...
  • Nah dude. It won't be Hoth. My money is on Dathomir.
#CloneHelmets4Life...VICTORY!!!! "I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere." The more you tighten your grip, CG/EA, the more whales will slip through your fingers (and go F2P or quit).
  • looks like the Death Star to me.

    Territory Battles: Alderann
Take your Empire characters through five non-combat phases building the Death Star. The battles culminates in Phase 6 where you face a lone CLS who defeats you by using his light saber to reflect the Death Star fire back at you.
  • Hopefully it's a smaller tb. Not the same amount of phases.
  • At last my Veers squad will be put to good use !
  • There was a dev comment previously about Veers and Snowtrooper being important to the TBs along with the Hoth Bros. They were supposed to get some sort of small bonus, similar to Jawas in HAAT...but apparently that never materialized. Still, sounds like they were planning on the DS TB to be Hoth from the Empire's perspective.
  • Full name is Territory Battles: Hoth: Imperial Invasion.

Next one could just as easily be Territory Battles: Endor: Rebel Invasion.
  • What was the big battle the Empire won? I seem to remember them winning a snow battle in Star Wars: The Hard Hitting Empire which was the second or third film in the franchise. The rebels won on Hoth in the first movie so it would only make sense to do that big snow battle where the Empire won as the first DS TB.
The field of battle is like the mongoose. Slow to joviality, but thirsty for morning sunshine.

  • Well my troopers are in decent shape ... sort of. I could make two squads out of what I have in the Empire. First Order is good to go. DS Scoundrels are OK. Nighsisters and Droids are shaky. Geonosians and Sith are basically junk.

BUT if you were a DS specialist, you could have 8 squads there to work with. That should be enough to run a TB table. On the LS table you only need 4 full squads to do all missions -- that's 20 characters. Add another 20 maximum for platoon donations and there you go, full capability for a DS TB. Plenty of heroes available.

But yeah I agree with you, six days of the same 4 battles vs Hoth squads is not exactly inspired design. The last wave of one mission in every territory could be some sort of mini-boss, where you need to dispatch the first five waves just to get to there, and then do as much damage as you can to try to take it down in collaboration with your guildmates. The mini-boss could even have phases like a mini-AAT raid, where the first ~5 players in must take down the boss' outer defenses, and then other players would have other tasks that must be completed before the boss could be defeated. Now that would be interesting.

I like the idea of the mini bosses. I guess going off LS tb empire would be the choice due to the size and it has another faction within it. DS should be smaller but more fun. I wouldn't mind destroying wiggs over and over again lol
  • Since I really don't like putting much in DS and will loath the transition from LS TB to DS, I guess I am happy they are making me farm FO for the time being. Hopefully one TB won't replace the other and they can run along side.

Good news none the less, I am happy for you DS peeps you definitely earned it wading through this rebel meta.

I am happy Darksiders are getting some love but DS characters are some of the hardest to farm.

    (I.e)
    Veers
    Death trooper
    Krennic
    Shoretrooper
    FOST

Not to mention characters nobody farms like:

    The 2 commandos
    Mob enforcer
    Night sisters
    Tuskens

Most people have an empire team and maybe a sith team sprinkled with misc characters.

We will just have to wait and see

  • I really doubt they’ll do Hoth from a dark side playtrough. Jakku will be the map for Dark side. Kinda end of :/
  • Maybe they will rework Royal Guard for us (again) to make him viable (again).

Jakku is the Guild Battle map.

  • Hopefully it's "Galactic Republic Invasion: Geonosis"
Since Jakku is the GvG map
And we already have Hoth for Rebels territory battles
Think of it! Fighting Ph1 clones and Ph2 clones, along with Arc troopers, commandos and the clone turbo tank for the final node
Maybe a few waves with Unnamed Jedi too

I am excited for this as well! But, where did you see this in update info? I must have missed it
  • 23 more lightside toons than there are dark side.
I feel we will see a real influx of new ds toons in next several weeks.
    Not just fore mentioned nightsister
