R2 without a tank?

Hey guys,
I'd love you to share an oppinion of whether it's possible to get 7* R2 without Royal Guard.

I've got 7* - Palp (g9), Thrawn (g10), GMT (g8), TFP (g9), Vader (g9). Should I keep farming RG (I'm gonna make it before the event starts) and replace GMT or is it doable without him.

This squad is fine. I did it without a tank or thrawn. Same gear levels roughly.

Should be a breeze. Use fracture on r2 and take him out, the rest dont hold up without r2 there.

Highly possible.
I did it with a similar team.

Just make sure your team is fast, fast, fast.
Mine were all around 200 except for Thrawn at 244.

I had to start with a fracture on Chewie becaue he got his taunt off before I had a chance to go.
Then I slowly took out Han, Luke, Leia in that order while just letting R2 pound away on my team.

After that, I took out R2, then Ben and finally the Wookie.

Yeah, I just did it. Just needed 1 attempt.
I did farm Royal Guard though, just in case. Now I regret it
