How about a +1 button?

It'd be nice to have a "+1" or "like" button for posts, as with other forum sites. That would cut down on traffic since a lot of people spend a whole post just congratulating other posts.

(Some people even make whole *threads* asking for +1 buttons. The nerve!)

In the latest iteration of Paradox Plaza, they now have 3 different ratings for posts:

Agree
Helpful
Respectfully Disagree

They shoved in the "respectfully" word to etch "respect" in the minds of the forum dwwellers, to prevent toxicity.

But they allow players to agree and disagree, and on top of it to mark genuinely helpful posts.

agree and disagree marks geenerate no 'forum karma' whatsoever.
'helpful' posts generate positive karma.
Helpful is to be used whenever a post has information which genuinely helps the community, and has actual game information, not just opinion.

of course moderators still step in whenever necessary and perform their duties.
