Crazy Hard Event without EP

I don’t think I can beat the 7* R2 event even after working for 1.5 months to level my Empire squad up. I know Veers and Stormtrooper are not great toons, but even so, thought I had a shot. What a drag to put in all that effort and not be rewarded.

Keep trying....looking at your squad, I would say you just need to wait for RNG.

Who are you using for lead, Vader or Tarkin? Palp's defintely would make it a lot easier. But as HP said, you might just have to wait for good RNG, keep trying!

I didn't think I would get Thrawn to 7 stars, but after the nth time, finally was able to down the stupid DT's.

Well there's your problem. You tried to Veers without Snow, Magma, Death or Shore.

Put Moff at lead. You could really use a TFP right about now, too.

I agree that Veers is worthless, I should have gone with TFP, but too late now.

And yes, I’ve dump all my best mods including speed into this squad and they are still terrible.

Veers and Stormtrooper are just terrible.

Without Zader or TFP I don’t think I can make 7*.

It seems like part of the strategy for this event (unlike, say, CLS where you have no choice) is which toons you pick. I'm sure you can do it with any combination but some combinations make it easier.
