Cantina nodes - what is the point on the same character on 2 nodes?

If the shard drop rate is the same anyway, what is the point? Why not make room for other characters instead? Or ships? Or just give the higher energy nodes a higher drop rate and make it worthwhile.

Who would farm a character at a higher cost for same drop rate? Has anyone done it? What was the reason for doing it?

the higher energy nodes has more rewards including cantina points. If you are farming cantina shop characters, farming high energy nodes give more shards per energy spent.
