I've googled it and it seems ppl say it doesnt matter, in regards to character placement. I run Phoenix, i have a ezra in the last slot and it seems he gets targeted right away and dies every time.

No position doesn't matter in combat, I have heard this for GW, but have not always found it to be the case.

The only place/time I see it matter is han in GW. He shoots a spot rather than person, so if he picks Poe’s spot, I put RP in that spot and he hits him instead.
Not the same with thrawn fracture in GW. He will fracture the same person no matter where they are if you move them.
And before anyone shoots me down, the han thing has happened to me daily in GW, so it’s not a fluke.
