The extra unused shipments icon on the left side of the cantina

Ever since I started playing this game, there's been a chest like the shipments icon in the left side of the cantina, Directly under the guild shortcut. When is it gonna be used? That'd be a great place for the guild events store to be put, instead of having to open another shop and then swipe and select a new menu. Any thoughts? Input from the devs that put it there?

Does anyone really use the standalone shop links? I just enter the main store at refresh times and page through all the different stores via the tabs at the top. I've never used the link to guild store, fleet store, etc. unless my fat finger accidentally hit it.
