Thrawn - grants target speed up on basic attack

I thought it was a glitch, but read the basic attack's description. Yep - it's meant to grant the target speed up alright.

Is there some strategic purpose that benefits Thrawn for granting an opponent toon a speed up advantage? Am I missing something with this?

  • It inflicts ability block after their next turn. It is supposed to go with his ideals of manipulating them into things.

It also inflicts ability block if the speed up is dispelled. This makes a good combo with Nihilus because you can apply speed up with Thrawn and then dispel it with DN, inflicting ability block and reducing the cooldown on annihilate.

This. Also, he stuns targets that already have ability block, so if you play strategically you can do a pretty good job of shutting down some of the opposing characters.
  • It also makes him a good combo with Geo Spy. it allows you to put that one postive status effect you need on the enemy to do his massive damage dispell.
