Chat Functionality

I realize that in-game chat is basic and not really meant to handle anything more than rudimentary communication, but having a simple sidebar (or even a scrollable header or footer) that lists guild members who are currently online would do so, so much to promote in-game conversation.

When I played SWU, for example, I would often log in just to see who was online to say hello. It built a strong sense of community. Not quite the same as what LINE or Discord offers.
