    To be clear, this is a Jedi/force use thing, not an Old Ben thing. QGJ also used Jedi mind tricks in the prequels. Luke did, too, in episode 6, and he's unrelated to Kenobis entirely.

    Just leaving this here, obi-wan kenobi has a british accent and rey has a british accent. Kylo has an American accent and Leia and Han have American accents. Finn doesn't have John's british accent and Lando doesn't have a british accent.

    The original Obi Wan most definetly does have a British accent. Ewan McGregor is also British.
