It feels draining... (tired of gambling)

This is not a troll post, I'm serious when I say that I'm really drained mentally from the constant gambing that goes on in this game! This is a serious issue and I'm sure I'm not alone in this. Please read before you dismiss this post!

Gambling is not for everyone, it's a serious habit and some people are just not made for it. Unfortunately everything in this game has this RNG base that feels like I'm constantly rolling a dice!

Where it is the daily challeges with the 3-7 drop that 95% of the time is 3-5 and 4.9% of the time is 6 and maybe 0.1% is 7. It almost feels like I'm sitting in a slot machine at a casino. Energy nodes are based on rng, packs from the store, raid tie braker and raid gear boxes. I haven't received a fully crafter piece of my liking in literally 15+ rancors. The aat is even worse, getting a fully crafted piece out of there feels like a miracle. I almost wanna close my eyes every time I pick my raid rewards cause I can't stand the feeling of anticipation only to get 20 salvages of a piece I have 2300+ of.

The arena battles are inconsistent and rng based very frequently. It seems like every single part of the game is designed like a casino where you basically go in with horrible odds against you at all times and like a gambling addict you constantly keep expecting that next time your luck will change. Even buying and upgrading a mod is totaly up to luck to get a decent secondary, like earlier today where I spend 4 million on a mod with 3 speed and after I upgraded the speed remained at 3 and the mod was useless.

I seriously find it difficult to maintain my emotional composure when I'm constantly exposed to an rng based game where your hard work and planning is all at risk of blowing up due to bad luck.

I don't wanna have to gamble. I would much rather have more power in my hands. I would like to have some more standardized results for me to feel in control of the game and not the other way around. Gambling is not for everyone and unnecessary pressure. Constantly being subject to ignorance and being unable to predict any outcome.

Lastly to those of you who will say that of that's how I feel, I should quit the game. That's not the answer, I enjoy the game, I'm just tired of every single thing in the game being rng based. Every reward, every investment, every decision is RNG, you are constantly sitting between x value and y value.

This is not a friendly environment for many people, we aren't all born gablers.

That's how they make money. Everything in mobile games are based on the psychology of gambling and addiction. Not just here but every mobile game.

Big companies would employ people specifically to refine game mechanics so it triggers people.

Unfortinately the thing that's draining yoy is the exact thing that's used to make money.
  • So how do you play ANY games, board or computer? Every game I can think of has a RNG component. Can you name me a game that does not?
  • Sure give up the game f you don't like it..

But OP is right. Every part of this game is RNG. Oh except some parts of the shop

Besides the thing that the whole game is RNG-based, one of the golden rules of this game is "never trust the max amounts on RNGs". Do you think you actually have a chance to get 330 shards in those 5-330 packs? Well you don't. Or at least the chance is between 0 and 1%. This is one of the awarenesses you should have in playing the game. Never trust the max amounts, they're mostly smoke and mirrors. If you feel like buying, just spend on the packs with fixed amounts in them and fixed money prices. The whole thing is just a gambling thing, because by frustrating you with the lowest possible reward in RNG packs they push you to spend more and more, just like a slot machine. They were criticized for trying to do it even in BF2, but just because mobile games are a smaller reality and everyone knows that they are mostly p2p, so noone complains about them.

U grow up too in bf2 they tried to charge for something that was in the game that people spent up to sixty dollars already. This game u spent no money and can play it completely free apples and oranges.

Noone says that they shouldn't push players to spend money. What I say is that they shouldn't FORCE players to pay. P2w and p2p are different concepts: in p2w games there are a lot of noobs which are too lazy or asinine to figure out how the game works and just spend money to grow (trust me, they are way more than f2ps and they spend a lot of money); in p2p games you just have to spend money to make some progress and you can't actually get beyond a certain point if you don't spend money. SWGOH was a very nice and balanced game like 1 year ago. Then it begun to turn to a p2w. Now it is turning to a p2p. What people is concerned about is that CG and EA might not give a baboon about the game as soon as they manage to spill money from players and when the game fails...well, who cares? They'll just make another. "Star Wars" is a powerful title.
