Platoon Requirements are Broken (Updated with New Info)

These are the platoon requirements my guild had for P4 of the Light Side Territory Battles:

Squadron 3:
1 Tie Silencer

Squadron 4:
1 Tie Silencer
1 SF First Order Tie Fighter

Squadron 5:
1 Tie Silencer
2 SF First Order Tie Fighters

Squadron 6:
1 Tie Silencer
2 SF First Order Tie Fighters

That is 4 Tie Silencers and 5 SF First Order Tie Fighters, at least $1400 in ships, just to complete all 6 PHASE FOUR platoons. If this happened in Phase 6, it would cost more than $2700.

A handful of pay to win ships in P5 or P6 is ok. This is beyond ridiculous. Please take a look at the platoon stripes and fix them ASAP.

    There is nothing to "fix" per say. They have stated that any toon in game will be in the pool for platoons 4-6 to draw from. so according to the information we have this is WAI and not a bug or something that needs to be fixed.

    also from your math, the number wouldn't go up if those toons are needed in P6 as they would have already been bought and payed for in P4.

    The player would have to spend more money to get those toons to the higher required star levels in the later phases.

    You need 5* toons in phase 4 and 7* toons in phase 6.

    Plus basic math suggests that it is broken. There are 28 non-Capital Ships and 15 spots per platoon.

    That gives you a 7% chance of drawing either the silencer or the SF tie fighter in each platoon. Over the 15 platoons, that is, on average, around a 100% chance that you will have ONE silencer OR SF tie fighter (which I also think is unfair for platoons 3 and 4).

    We had TWO platoons that had THREE of those two ships, and another platoon that had TWO. That means that the RNG gave us two to three TIMES the number of silencers and SF tie fighters that it should have, and that it happened three times IN A ROW.

    That means something is broken.
  • Its not broken, they are doing it on purpose to force us to pay. Calling it random is a lie.
  • Tie Silencer & SF Tie Fighter...100% chance to be randomly selected.

    These were our platoons today in P5:

    Squadron 3:
    2 Tie Silencers
    1 SF First Order Tie Fighter

    Squadron 4:
    1 SF First Order Tie Fighter

    Squadron 5:
    2 SF First Order Tie Fighters

    Squadron 6:
    2 Tie Silencers
    1 SF First Order Tie Fighters

    That means that on average, the platoons are spawning 2.25 Silencers/SFFOTPs per squadron...more than double the "random" number that they are supposed to spawn. Not only that, but it has happened in almost every single squadron 2 through 6 for 2 straight days for us. This is beyond a random chance of bad luck. Something is broken.

    Please tell me again that is working as intended...
  • Yes it is working exactly as intended. They intend to rip you off if you want to win.
  • Besides those we had 3 falcons in one platoon and 3 tie reapers in the other
