P5 CLS Special Mission Difficulty

First time CLS owner here. How difficult is this mission? Will this get it done?

Biggs G11
CLS G11 IBAT zeta
Raid Han G11 zeta
Leia G9

I also have R2 G11 NC zeta but would rather use him on one of my combat mission Res teams unless absolutely necessary here.

you cant use wedge lead you have to use luke lead, so i usually bring in CLS, R2, some tank either ben or han, Raid han, and then really anyone because luke, raid han, and r2 keep people low, keep in mind that IPD removes stealth.
you also get strafing run so its not a bad mission at all

That will be overkill. However, you can't use Wedge lead, you are stuck with CLS lead.

Ah, I didn't realize CLS was the forced lead. Regardless, sounds like I'm good. May be overkill but my two Res teams are more reliable in TB (somewhat surprisingly), so I consider this my C team for TB. Thanks for the info.

Note also that you can't use 2 res teams in p5. There is only one generic LS mission, plus the special (for which you could theoretically use res, but not a res lead). The others are rebel and Phoenix requirements.

Lol, I forgot that there's a Phx combat mission in there, not a LS mission. And without either zFinn or JTR in the lead spot, there's not a lot of reason to run Res.

Hmmm...so I guess now I have a new question. What should I run with CLS if I want to save the rest of the above team for the rebel mission?

I can run zFinn Poe RT RP BB8 for LS and Wedge Biggs Leia rHan fbLuke for Rebels. Frees up R2 for the CLS team, but I'm a bit stumped after that.

Baze G9 seems like a good choice. After that it gets pretty thin. Scav Rey G10 for damage and Old Ben G9 for utility (although his abilities are all just level 3 lol). Would that get it done?

You can take one member out of that rebel team and add it to your CLS team, since the rebel mission requires one of the hoth brothers.

Hahaha, updating a previous story, I'm an ****. I only have Baze at 5* so of course he's not eligible.

Although this mission requires CLS lead, it enables use of any LS character, so you can use GK, Rey, bb8, Lando, Rex or any other useful unit.

Granted, but I don't have GK or Rex. Lando is also only 5*. Used BB8 in my Res team already.

I think CLS R2 fbLuke ScavRey Old Ben is pretty much it by default at this point, looking at my roster. My Old Ben isn't even that good but the taunt and mass debuffs are good, plus I do enjoy a good Old Ben death.

For everyone who is waiting on the edge of their seat to find out how I did, I'm waiting until morning because I have an outside shot of getting CLS to G12 by then.

Lol. R2 is an extremely helpful team member in any TB battle, so you've got that going for you at least. Good luck!

CLS G12 update: 10 eyeballs to completion. Come on guild store, be good to me! Two chances before the phase ends, let's do this.

Update 1. Got CLS to G12 first. Yay!

Update 2. Failed anyway. Boo!

Rey and Luke were just too weak. The Empire AOE did too much damage in the first two waves and they were both immediately killed in wave 3. Ben lasted a little longer but he bought it too, and R2 was basically dead at that point so the deathboost didn't help much. And Vader wrecked my CLS and I couldn't finish off anyone before his second turn expired.

Naturally our guild hit one star in each ground territory fairly easily, but with no chance at the next star. So I should have brought zHan and Wiggs instead of Rey/Luke/Ben. Next time I guess.

Based on my experience last time, those G8 and G9 might be a bit low.

I will be trying this for my second attempt:

G12 CLS IBAT
G11 R2 NC and CA
G11 zHan
G12 Biggs
G11 Wedge

I'm guessing overkill, but after failing last time, I'm not taking any chances.

Changed my mind and replaced Wiggs with BB8 and Old Ben. Didn't really work (they both died in the initial wave 3 attack so no mind tricks or ID), and Han only got his opening stun off before he bought it too. But thanks in part to the CLS special revive, he and R2 got the job done.

Yup i think i dont need anyone but cls

For the record I used G12 cls and 4 g7 rebels
Everyone else but cls fell apart on last phase.
CLS died once but thx to his tb bonus he came back to life. I killed a low hp enemy within 2 turns so re remained alive till the end.
Was a bit risky but turned out to be effective and successful

That mission is super easy, your squad looks a lot better than mine, you will be fine
