Shard shop character. How long will it take to get?

Just thinking that usually you only get like 2 shards for a characters surely it will take forever to 7* it?

I thought they hinted at the new character being easier to get, so we really don't know how long it will take.

It will also be much faster to get for people with advanced rosters, who can afford to waste shards for other toons by claiming them for their 7*s
