Territory War - 6000 minimum GP

When the matchmaking process takes places do characters that fall below the 6000 minimum GP get factored in? It seems GP is a big factor in the matchmaking process with Character and Ships being the main contributor. I also wonder if Character and Ships are separate in the overall GP matchmaking with each player needing to set up and defeat 4 squads of characters and 1 fleet. In theory everyone in a guild should be able to defeat 1 fleet with the amount of capital ships available. I wonder if limiting the GP of ships would give a certain advantage because it seems certain character boost the overall GP by a significant amount. Since we don't know the full extent to what contribute to the matchmaking of Territory War there is a lot to speculate. Thanks for reading and replying.

  • While some of the community has expressed concern over matchmaking, we’d like to detail the following:
    • The Active GP bracket only determines the rewards for the guild. This does not factor into matchmaking.
    • Matchmaking is based on a variety of factors including the GP of units that can participate

This quote would seem to indicate that the characters that fall below the minimum GP to be usable are not factored into the matchmaking process and that is a large part of why you can be matched against a guild with a higher active GP.
