Best Empire Defense Team

Is there a best empire team for defense in TW?

I'm thinking of:

Gar Saxon (L)
Shoretrooper
Death Trooper
Royal Guard
Tarkin

I wanna know if there is a better option before start upgrading the toons that I'm short of

I wouldn’t go for Gar Saxon. He’s not proven to be great and has often been considered fairly bad in general. The rest are worth gearing

If you take saxon out you have 40% of two very decent teams imo. You can go full troopers with one tem and other empire with another team.
