Buying gear from shipments

So I've never really bought anything from the main shipments aside from farming baze but I usually buy the (3)50 crystal refreshes and (1)100 crystal refresh to farm gear but currently my favorites have my rogue one, imperial troopers and the Jedi Rey event squad and a lot of them are stuck or will be stuck at around g8 due to needing mk5 droid callers. I need 9 in total between all 3 squads and that's taking everyone to g11 which is my goal. I usually buy the callers from guild shipments and shard shop but they have been lacking very much in the pit raid rewards. So what I'm getting at would it benefit me more to just buy the 3 refreshes and start to save crystals and just buy droid callers from the shipments. Between what I can save daily and the occasional crystals from the login rewards and tb I could probably buy one every 1-2 weeks. It'll still be a slow process but still seems better that hoping to get some from pit raid

Yeah, I would never do a 100 crystal refresh for regular energy. I did 3 of the 50s for a few months while I finished baze and Nihlus etc, but now don’t have many left to finish, so I usually only do 1 of the 50 refreshes to make sure my tickets get there, and save the rest for gear in shipments.

The 1400 Raid gear ones that you’re talking about are a good value compared to getting them other places. Holoprojectors and eyeballs are the other things I buy regularly cuz they have a great value.

Definitely worth it to speed up the gearing process, unless you’re hoarding for a future release ....

I think purple gear drop rate is roughly 20%.

Wasn't there a spreadsheet somewhere showing suggested farm vs purchase?

That's an old site with some bad numbers. MK5 stun gun is isn't 1400 crystals, it's around 2500 if I remember right. It also doesn't take into account the time needed to farm these things. It may be cheaper, but with a month of farming -- probably not worth it.

Yeah I just notice some of the numbers are bad. I specifically looked for Stun Guns and...sigh.

The idea is right. I am hoping to do one of these myself, but I don't look at it as buy vs farm... I look at it is 'i'm going to buy something, what is the best thing to buy?'

The usually falls into yellow eyeballs (MK8 Biotech Implants). There are just so many needed and a full piece for 750 is great.

I like buying some of the salvage. It's not as steep a price, but still gets the job done. Stun guns and yellow eyeballs are typical buys for me now. I remember when it used to be all stun cuffs.....now it's guns.

There is no drop rate for mk5 droid callers the OP is talking about, since they aren’t farmable.

There's a drop rate, you can go to any node you want and it's zero.
