Wanted to buy Holdo, didn't.
After the Marquee event I was stoked on Holdo and wanted to buy her $10 pack, but saw that it only gives 25 shards when she needs 30 to get that 4th star. So if I wanted to get her to 4 stars I'd need to spend another 1200 crystals on one of the repeatable packs... Nah. I passed on both.
I totally understand and accept that the purpose of bundles and crystal packs is to make as much money as possible. That's fine and dandy. But I think putting the last 5 shards into the cash bundle will net you better revenue in the long run.

Unless I misunderstood an earlier post, this only applies to people under level 80.

Idk maybe CG want to make latest marquee stay the way they are. Then in last min EA make change that lvl <80 should get more shards to encourage them to buy packs. Looks like they blame eachothers. CG side doesn't want handle this, EA side don't know about this. When it comes to responsibility.. u know. Save way is burried this topic and let time heal the pain.
They are using the open tickets to gauge the issue and then figure out if it's a player by player fix or a in game "hot fix"

The message from EA is that you’re out of luck, but don’t let that stop you from opening a ticket anyways. Just don’t get your hopes up. I think the plan with a lot of these types of things is to just keep it going in a circle long enough for people to quit caring.
Can confirm, if you've ever contacted EA help, you know it is going to take up about 4 hours of your life, and usually multiple days of work. Definitely not worth15 shards for the amount of work it takes. And you aren't guaranteed to get the 15 shards
