Raid and TB rewards...NO MORE MK4 Carbantis

Now I’m not here to complain about drop rates on fully crafted gear, or cuffs, or mk5 guns in these events. They drop when they do and there are other ways of getting them.
The problem is mk4 carbantis. They serve no purpose. We have thousands of them and can’t even use them. They don’t belong in any reward system at all. Either make them required in place of some toons over the mk 3’s or stop forcing us to get them as rewards. They are useless.

    There are people who are still building up in game that do use them. Yes, older players don't need them as they have a good quantity built up, but that is not the case for everyone

    Here’s the problem though. They’re needed at gear level 9 and above. So that’s later stage players already. Also, characters only use them 20 times total.
    At G9: ROLO, Maul, FOO. (3)

    At G10: Phasma, Chirut, CW Chewie, CLS, Dengar, Gamorian Guard, Gar Saxon, Grevious, GK, JK Guard, Wicket and Vet Han. (12)

    At G11: Chirut, CLS, Eeth Koth, Raid Han and Plo Koon. (5)

    So the majority is in g10. That’s not new player status.

    Of the characters that need the mk4’s only CLS, GK and Raid Han and Chirutt are in meta teams currently. So that’s 6 since CLS and Chirut need them twice. So 300 salvage.

    Others with viability like Phasma, Maul, FOO, and Wicket need one each making that number go up another 4. So 200 more salvage for a total of 500.

    That’s 500 salvage for viable toons that don’t need it until nearing end game status. Let’s add Plo and Gar for their ships and you’re at 600. So 12 times you’ll need them. 12!

    Now compare that to gear that everyone needs:

    Mk 3 carbantis- 159 times. One hundred fifty nine

    Mk 3 cuffs- 111 times.

    Mk 3 holos- 141 times.

    And I can keep going on. The devs need to mix up the rewards in raids. They need to re-tier the rewards. In heroic take away useless gear that we don’t need. Make it so that we are rewarded properly. Remove challenge gear. Remove mk4 carbantis and put them in challenges.

  • @Kyno how come you removed this from feedback and switched it to Gear? If not belonging in feedback it should at least be in DSTB or raids because it has to do with the rewards

    Because it is feedback about gear, isn't it?

    Where it is rewarded, how much is given, and it's lack of necessity on toons.

    The unique issue of gear is that it's not just about what is rewarded, but also the fact that it isn't used on toons on toons, even when the added stat makes sense. There are several avenues that could be utilized to solve an issue like this, changing the reward is only one.

    The simplest one is removing mk4 carbantis from heroic Raid rewards and TB rewards as well in the upper tiers. There’s no reason for them to be there at all
