Last Activity Tracker

Hello,
I am trying to determine what constitutes "last activity" - I've seen people who literally seem to have fallen off the map for months (I. E. No chats or noticeable actions) but every few weeks or so it will show activity so we don't boot them.

I'm wondering if logging in is an absolute necessity to be measured in an activity tracker, or do things like getting attacked in Arena, or having a char borrowed as an ally reset your activity tracker.

It only tracks client side activities, i.e. things they do on their phone.

Makes me wonder if some of the periodic logins are simply people accidentally clicking a phone icon with no intention of playing.
