Changes to GW random seed

Is it just me or has the way the random seed is generated been changed? Swithcing target before the first action no longer seems to work and I have doubts about changing the order of characters too...

I've noticed that when I set to AUTO in GW or Arena, when I set a target, for a couple of turns, my guys ignore my target and hit random opponents screwing me over

Weird... Just now, when I tried to switch the first target, everything played out exactly the same, including Phasma-caused assists and enemy Daka self-reviving. I mean, what are the odds of this being a coincidence?
