The current version is problematic bc you either get very small windows (1-2 hours, usually during the workday) or lots of dead time between events.
Considering that TB/SW starts are synchronized it would actually be easy to fix. Just say you always get rewards from the guild you start the event in, no matter when you join. (this would be only for TB/TW, not raids. Raids need to stay the same). TW would lock participation at end of defence phase, TB at end of phase 1)
Then people who wanted to move could just finish up early and leave for the new guild. It's simple, non exploitable and solves the movement problem. (you could do by the guild you end in also, but that doesn't work as well bc you need everyone in for TW start for matchmaking purposes)
