Stealth question

This may seem basic to most of you....but what does Stealth do? I have a 4* Dathcha and every so often he attacks and goes stealth. The problem is he still gets attacked, and nothing seems to be any different. So what benefit does stealth have?

Whichever character is stealthed cannot be attacked UNLESS they are the last character standing or the entire team is stealthed.

Sometimes the stealth icon fades but the game still shows a character as stealthed... I think that's a bug of sorts. That's probably why you see him taking hits sometimes. If the green stealth icon isn't over their head, they aren't under the stealth mechanic.

AoE will always hit characters through stealth.
