Bare Minimum for 7* Thrawn? (Under level 80)

Yes, I know that there are already a million of these threads. Sorry for duplicating.
Despite my best efforts, I will be unable to get my account to level 80 in time for the Thrawn event. Much to my chagrin, it's coming too soon, and I will have to go in with no omegas (even though I have enough omega mats saved!). I will have everyone at 7 stars, and everyone is at G8 right now. Ability levels are pretty high I think (check my swgoh.gg account, linked below). I'm confident I can get Ezra to G9 in time for the event.
My question is, what is the bare minimum I have to do to be ready to unlock 7* Thrawn with the chars I have, and no way to add omegas. Any tips?

I forgot to mention: I'm level 78, will possibly reach 79 before the event. My characters are about level 72. Is it worth it to upgrade them to max level?

Is it worth it? I'd say if you want any chance at all of getting 7*, it's mandatory.

You really want to max as many things as you can - levels, mods, abilities, gear.

Levels are important to help get debuffs to stick. A level 72 is going to have a very hard time stunning a level 85 elite.

Mods are important to increase damage output, reduce damage taken, and most importantly speed up your characters.

Abilities, especially the omega/zeta tier, are a huge force multiplier. Though if you can't reach 80 you're not going to see any on uniques (I still maxed Ezra and Zeb basic because it's a big boost).

Gear is where most of your stat growth comes from. Some people say you can get by at G8, but without omegas I think you're looking at G9 or even G10.

Hmm, that was what I was afraid of. Not sure how much gear I'll be able to grind, but we'll see.
Meanwhile, I'm planning to move my Arena Mods to Phx, to give them the best speed possible. Unfortunately, even my Arena Mods aren't that good.

If you spent crystals on extra energy every day, you won't be able to reach lvl 80 by the end of the event? All your crystals can go to energy refreshes (cantina & regular) just to boost your xp and get you there faster!

It'd be a stretch - leveling is rather slow at this point. Even if he could, he's not likely to have 20+ omega mats lying around. Or the 10 mil credits he'd need to level everyone to 80 from 72.

Below gear 9 and below level 80, you're going to need crazy fast mods and/or be very lucky.

I'm already doing all the energy refreshes I can, but as an F2P, there's a limit to what can be done. And as TS said, I have nowhere near the credits necessary to pull that off anyway. It'll be a stretch just to get everyone to level 78 and re-mod them.

The hard truth of it is that you most likely wont be able to gain a 7* Thrawn until you are level 85.
What phoenix characters do you currently have and what gear level are they?

7* Ezra, G8 (soon to be 9)
7* Kanan, G8
7* Zeb, G8
7* Hera, G8
6* Chopper, G8 (soon to be 7*)
4* Sabine, G7

Well to put it into context I couldn't complete it until I had this line up

7* Ezra G11

7* Sabine G9

7* Hera G8

7* Kanan G8

7* Zeb G8

At level 85 (Granted chopper is better than sabine)
I also gave them my current arena mods (Speed)

Ezra, Zeb and Hera are your most effective since they can give you bonus attacks and stuns. So definitely gear them up first if you can.

If you can gear up those characters a couple of levels and swap in your best mods, then you may have a shot. If not though you should very likely be ready for the next time the event comes around.

My phoenix has been exactly the same since when I got my 7* Thrawn. Except Zeb was at level 80, not 83

I'm in the exact same boat, so thanks for making this thread.

I have a couple of accounts that I'm trying to get Thrawn on for the first time this run. One is level 85 and will have Omegas on all uniques (working on getting the rest of the abilities up, but probably won't get any others omega'd), but won't get to 7* in time (Kanan will be a few short). The other account will make 7*, but I'm only level 77 now so I likely won't hit 80 until after the event ends.

How many attempts did it take? I can get very close to that team composition.

Well, in the end, I managed 7* Thrawn! My "bare minimum" team was as follows:
G10 Ezra, level 80, abilities level 7, speed 193
G9 Chop, level 80, abilities level 7 with omega on "Cantankerous Clanker", speed 189
G8 Hera, level 80, abilities level 7 with omega on leader, speed 191
G8 Kanan, level 80, abilities level 7 with omega on unique, speed 126
G8 Zeb, level 80, abilities level 7 with omega on unique, speed 124, potency 51%

I didn't really keep count but it took me well over 50 attempts all told, but at the start I didn't have the gear or omegas this high. Once I got all the toons to these stats, I finished on my 5th attempt.
