Combat analysis - does it help?

Deciding whether to do R2's combat analysis zeta. I'll only do it if it helps in the sith raid. So the question is, does it? Specifically, does it dispel the defense down buff in p1/p4 so that the resistance member still reduces their cooldowns when using a special? Or is there some other sith raid benefit to it that I'm missing?

Yes it does, and it's very helpful in P1.

Not so much in P4 though, because they will also have Pain from Sion, which can't be cleansed.
